The ancient building stands in a dominating position in the middle of the village; it dates from 1700, presumably was built by Charles III of Bourbons, King of the Two Sicilies (1715-1788). Later here resided Saint Alfonso Maria De' Liguori (1696 - 1787). Proof of their presence are frescoes situated on the vaulted ceiling and also magnificent fountain inside visible.
